В тех местах, где есть альтернативы, умно произносить G твердое, потому что оно от graphical.
Был бы от Gibberish Interchange Format, был бы "джиф".
А в Индии и begin как "беджин" произнесут (т. е. лишить джина), недорого возьмут.
