Everybody is like you! (and at the same time you are unique, of course.) Each person has on them patches of different hues or even colors, sometimes in very unexpected places.
This is because each of the two parties is an incongruous and partially serendipitous coalition of views. It is impossible for one person to equally support all party views and equally oppose all views of the other party.
Anybody claiming to be uniformly red or blue throughout just happened to clumsily bump into a partisan bucket of paint, spilling it all over themselves. Such victims of an unfortunate accident are simply in need of a good hot shower for their true colors to emerge.
